This past weekend, thousands made their way to Sacramento, California to witness Lost In Riddim—the new Afrobeats and Dancehall music festival featuring some of the most impactful artists within the genres. From Afrobeats legends Wizkid and BurnaBoy to rising stars Tems and Oxlade, the two-day experience warmed the hearts of many by highlighting the undeniably talented artists from the African diaspora.

Impressively, some of the earliest acts like Shenseea and Amaarae had the entire crowd dancing, while niche favorites with mass followings like Tiwa Savage and Tekno lit up the night performing hit after hit. Beyond music, few festivals take the opportunity to not only celebrate the music within a genre but also the culture from which it stems. Lost In Riddim is one of those few. From authentic Nigerian dishes to festival merchandise curated by KidsofImmigrants, the festival paid attention to detail in creating an all-immersive experience to celebrate African culture in several aspects. The beautiful people, solid location, and unbeatable lineup makes Lost In Riddim one of a kind, bound to expand even further through its future iterations. Take a look at the gallery below to relive the magic that occurred this past weekend.
