Lou Phelps has shared a fresh video for his song "PROLLY US". Montreal's Phelps is a Haitian-Canadian rapper known for his effortless flow and genre-blending sound that seamlessly fuses hip-hop, house, and jazz-infused production. First emerging alongside his brother, Grammy-winning producer KAYTRANADA, in their duo The Celestics, he has steadily been carving out his own lane for his captivating, verstatile sound, and he recently released his vibrant album Chèlbè. He now comes through with a video for "PROLLY US", a stand-out track from the album produced by KAYTRANADA, which harnesses the song's sleek, energizing feel into a refreshing new visual.

“PROLLY US” is a potent track that presents a nostalgic fusion of funk, soul and a cultural sound formally known as “Kompa”- a Haitian dance music genre that emerged in the 1950s, combining African rhythms and European ballroom dance influences. The song builds a hypnotic feel with its warm, soulful guitars and pulsating, lively rhythm section, creating an enticing backdrop for Phelps' charismatic vocals. He comes through with line after line of sleek laid-back rhymes, capping the song off with a memorable, ear-worm hook. Phelps has now released a vivid, dance-heavy video for the track, directed by Alexandre Vaillancourt and Nicolas Lareau, which features him Lou two-steppin’ in front of a suburban, channeling that old-school rap video spirit. The video's combination of modern and retro influences further enhances the charming, diverse nature of the track, making for a cohesive accompaniment.

Fresh off the release of his new album Chèlbè, Lou Phelps has released a stylish, invigorating visual for his track "PROLLY US" that captures the song's eclectic feel and infectious energy.
